    New 24 hour sale here.

Normally nothing to write home about, but the Transformers and Simpsons movies look a lot cheaper than on www.play.com anyway.

    404 Not Found page?

Can't see anything about a sale on the site.

EDIT: Found it on the UK site anyways: http://www13.cd-wow.com/

With the weak sterling if you go through the UK site (link with another £1 discount) you can get Transformers and Simpsons for for just about €10.80 each, and similar saving for others.

At least cdwow let you pay sterling unlike play.....

Has CDWOW had another relapse? I have two orders with them (one of them a new release) that still haven't been shipped after two weeks. I had to cancel one a few weeks ago over the same problem. Most of their warehouse items are gone as well.

I ordered 4 DVDs recently and 1 CD.
Got all DVDs, no sign of CD.
Check my account, no mention of the order...
Check my bank account, they'd charged me for it.

Took a few e-mails to get a refund, though I did eventually get it.

They've been very slow recently, I have received everything but I've had to wait 2/3 weeks, it used to be better. If I wanted to get something soon I wouldn't use them but if I can wait I've found them ok.

The .com site is the very same as the .ie only cheaper, I'd always use that, like the examples above and simpsons R3 is £5.99, or €8.06 according to xe.com. That's using the discount link, £1 off dvds or 50p off cds. Full price is £6.99 / €9.39.

  • I've found them quite good. I ordered two dvd's and they were sent out withing two days and arrived quickly. Any time I emailed them I got a human, sensible reply fairly quickly too.

I do think I was unlucky with my last few orders, they weren't new releases and they did arrive safely, eventually, I expected them sooner though. It's not enough to stop me from ordering from them though.

    Thanks for the link Simon.

Does anyone know how to change settings so I'll receive the cdwow.com mails and promotions rather than the .ie ones. Since the .ie are always more expensive.

You can sign up to the cdwow.com site... requires a new user name & PW... I was registered for the UK deals and I had to do this to get the irish ones..
