Anyone seen this yet? Based around the same events as The Essex Boys....excellent movie. Plenty of recognizable and impressive talent, more gruesome blood letting then I've seen in any crime movie recent or otherwise, and really leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth.

    Would recommend it to anyone.

I thought it was surprisingly good and just a smidge violent. Pretty sure one of the actors out of it does one of the voices on the call of duty 4 game too.

Craig Fairbrass does the voice of Gaz in CoD4.

Will have to give this film a look.
    Sounds promising.

Great movie, certainly better than most british flicks released in the last few years

Those dominoes pizza guys had it coming.

Seriously though the acting was bloody good in this - that guy Craig fairbrass has come along way from his days on the bill and cliffhanger. I would say he's up there with Ray winstone as one of the best brit actors around going by his performance in that movie.

I really enjoyed this. I was worried at the start because I thought it was juts going to be a Green Street clone but it took a huge turn in another direction.
Very entertaining and as said above....abit bloodier then neccesary.

Billy Murray (Mickey Steele in the film) also features in COD 4, as Cpt. Price.

Having just finished watching this film I also found it surprisingly good. Very entertaining a worth a watch.

THE best soccer hooligan/gangster film of the last ten years, easily. I have seen a lot of them of late and none of them are a patch on Rise Of The Footsoldier. The violence in this film was extreme as well, and quite realistic.

A very good film. I can sit through most violent films but a few scenes in it were very gory. Didn't take away from it for me though. Would recommend it to anyone

Got this as a Christmas pressie from my cousin! As I said "Exactly the kind of super-ultra violent shíte that I love!":D

But yes, I loved this movie. Very very violent in spots, but that has never been a turn-off for me. I don't mind violence or anything like that. Acting is superb and the story is class. Great movie.

    Worst. Movie. Ever.

I watched it once and then threw it in the bin. Shockingly shockingly shockingly bad.

The acting was muck, the story was muddled, it was like it was made by a retarded chimp.

    ****ing rubbish.

Well impressed with Craig Fairbrass. He was wasted in Eastenders !

Just did a bit of research and I have some good news. There is a new film in post-production called "Bonded By Blood". It features some of the same gangsters in it as "Rise Of The Footsoldier". It's a prequel of sorts by all accounts. I also believe there are connections between it and "Essex Boys" as well.

Anyone else like me and more than a little disappointed that this thread has nothing to do with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles :(

Yea I thought this was gonna be another one of those Brit flicks were everyone acts 'ard and says "You Cùnt!!" a lot. I was quite surprised and enjoyed the film, they took the subject pretty serious and were accurate to certain events.

Speaking of Brit flicks, I watched The Firm (2009) last night................utter shìte. Stay away.

I'm honestly surprised I sat through this whole film. The start was great but it goes rapidly downhill and is barely coherent at the end. The acting takes a nose dive as well except for one or two decent performances.
