I have a wireless internet on my laptop but my Wii can't pick up the signal unfortunately. I would buy the Nintendo USB thingy but it's discontinued and it's like 50 squid at least on eBay.

Will any old USB flash adapter plugged into my laptop redistrubute the network to my wii or will I have to fork out for the Nintendo USB.

I don't have access to the router btw.

i wouldnt really bother with it for 50 quid. ive only downloaded the system update (dont even know what issues it sorted). there isnt anything on the store which are must have or cant be played on a pc, besides the fact it'll take forever to change your wii stars to points. imo its wasnt worth the 3 hours of error messages/changing settings etc etc it took me to get it to connect thru my router

It did connect for a while and it did update and all that.
But as soon as I buy 30 lids worth of Wii Points the wi-fi can't find an access point.. Grrr. Ah well.
