Growl or similar for Mail.app notifications

    Hi guys,
I tried to install this guy - http://growl.info/documentation/growlmail.php - this evening. This Growl Ext claims to provide an email notification for each mail you receive. However it doesn't seem to work on OS X Leopard because the preference screen doesn't appear within Mail.app.

I think turned my attention to this application - http://www.bronsonbeta.com/mailappetizer/ - but it's Tiger only.

Does anyone know of an application which can provide notifications of incoming emails in a growl-esque fashion?

Ok, the beta growl installer seems to work fine for Leopard.
    Found it here > http://growl.info/beta.html

Try OmniGrowl, thats what I used to use at work. I just use basic Growl setups at home. Omni lets you configure iCal, Mail, RSS feeds etc.

That beta doesn't work for me. I must check out OmniGrowl though.

EDIT: Never-mind working now. I needed to type the following into Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.mail EnableBundles -bool YES
defaults write com.apple.mail BundleCompatibilityVersion -int 3

Hoping he'll release a leopard version

I miss mail badger. You could glance at your dock mail icon and know if there's any mail work checking out instantly.

Says he'll be working on a leopard version but no update for months. No beta either.

Maybe he's holding out for more cash. ;)
