Quick Ryanair question...

just a quick one folks... i'm travelling to berlin in the morning and we booked the flight online without adding the 9 quid check-in baggage fee.

now, due to the girlfriend wanting to bring the kitchen sink, "we" have decided to check in a bag for convenience sake.

What i'm asking is, can i ring their support line and get the one check-in bag added for the 9 euro each way charge, or will i have to wait till i get to the airport in the morning and pay the 18euro each way charge??

I rang support to add a checked bag once, but I paid more than the online fee, I cant remember how much, and its gone up since anyway.

Be prepared to be on hold if you phone.

was thinking ryanair wouldnt be too sound about it. its just an extra 40 quid return for one bag thats annoyin me.

i presume i'll also be stung for the "airport check in fee" now aswell? since originaly we would have been checking in online as we had no baggage?

I dont know much about that, aerlingus do a free bag drop, but Im not sure about ryanair. I always check in at the airport and pre pay luggage, Im old school. :)

I remember when I phoned ryanair, the call wasnt free, and I reckoned I might as well have just paid at the airport and saved on the call. I thought 'you robbin b*****ds'. :D
