European Adventure Holiday - May

    Howdy,

My friends and I are looking to do something different in May i.e. no package sun hols.

Some kind of adventure holiday could be interesting. I was thinking about a leisurely cycling trip but one of the guys isn't interested but to be honest we could drop him in favour of the right trip. A driving holiday would also be an option although I'm not sure about the hassles of having a car on some European roads.

We've kinda restricted ourselves to Southern or Eastern Europe (Italy, Balkans sort of area) due to it being early May. Probably couldn't guarantee good weather in northern Europe.

We don't want anything too strenuous. It's just a holiday. One of the guys can't swim so watersports are out unfortunately. Climbing does not sound like a holiday to me.

So that really leaves just cycling or driving unless anyone know of something else? I've looked at some of the Adventure Holiday agents' websites and they're pretty expensive. We could organise most things ourselves I'm sure with the right guidance and planning.

It would be 8 - 9 days max. Hostels and cheaper hotels are probably the way to go. Budget is cheap to reasonable but nothing too expensive.

Anything considered though. We're all mid to late 20s :(. Moderate disposable cash

    All suggestions welcome :)
