Loads of reasons. Just use speaker cable and you wont have any problems.

Holy crapola:eek:! Never use a guitar cable to connect an amp to cab, always use speaker cable.

There's a couple of reasons, but the simplest is that a guitar cable isn't designed to carry large currents...the thinner conductor could simply melt, short out the circuit, wreck your amp, burn the insulation, start a fire etc. Not a good idea...;)
