    Not sure about 1/2 inch 8 track, I know of 1/2" 16 track or 1" 8 track.
    There is a 1/2" 16 trk studio in Dublin still called Qube and Asylum have a Studer 1" machine. Good luck with trying to convince them to let you hire them though.
    Do you have something on 8 track already?

    I too have a Studer 1".
    It's 16 stone weight make it impractical for my purposes - ie doing an analog recording in a house in Donegal :)
    I think I've located one anyway, so fingers crossed.
