    Hi all,

If the name on the ticket for your flights is spelt incorrectly in comparrison to the passport - is there likely to be an issue in actually getting on the plane? I'm not sure on this matter but i thought i had heard it could cause serious problems. The travel agent has informed the person flying that it will not be a problem, but i'm not so sure. Any advice?

It depends on the degree of difference. Most airlines will fix a one/two letter error without issue if you let them know - could be the way to go to avoid any issues :)

Yeah. I'd say if it's an obvious typo you could get the airline to change it for you without charge.

However if you're talking the passport reading 'John Smith' and the ticket reading 'Jake Smith' then you're going to have to fork out for a name change because I can't see them letting you on with that much of a difference.
