Disconnection Protection

Right lads can someone please tell me why they have disconnection protection - In the past week - ppl have seen the river for free, because their connection went - which while it annoyed me - i assumed that it would one day help me so i put up with it.

Today my connection went - first time realy that i have noticed this - i was involved in a bit pot in omaha - huge wrap + flush draw- was getting ready to pump the turn ~ 300 pot - player in front bet - and my connection went completely dead - when i came back - about 3/4 mins later i was told my had was folded. I checked the table - and it does not state that there is no DP on it.

I am extremely annoyed at this - and indeed have contacted customer care - for what good that does i do not know - i'm seriously thinking of cashing out and quitin online poker as this imo is not acceptable - i've seen posts in the past that macspower gave out about it. If this is not a fair system, then imo there should be no such thing as DP. I did of course tilt away all the money i had in front of me, but then decided to stop and write this instead of doing the rest of my roll.

Has this happened to anyone else?

It's hasn't happened me where I didn't get the DP when I was due it... But I've had several tossers pull ther connection with a draw when they 3 bet a flop or something and I shove...

Support just send you a generic letter when you complain...

I've used DP several times but dont think it has ever given me an advantage... like preflop if something happened and I'd be all in for 1 bb or something....

You only get 1 DP per table and when you use it there is a time delay before you get it again and the more you use it the bigger the delay..

IMO it shouldn't be there at all... but there are not enough NO DP tables for this

I am currenlty talkin to customer care - can u tell me what you mean per table? and where in the rules does it state this.

Customer care is telling me of a different rule - different to what ur saying but they cannot not direct me to it in the rules - 30 mins after i asked to be directed to it.

Right so after a few email being sent back and fourth to gjp, i am happy to say that the rule is 1 Disconnection all-in protection per 24 hours. though this was not specifically stated in the rules, when i started the thread.

I can't understand the whole ipoker disconnection craic. I was also told that you may only use one DP per 24 hour period. Yet 4 weeks ago, during the daytime, I saw the same player use DP twice in the space of 20 minutes. I took notice because I was involved the two hands.

to be honest i-poker has a lottttttt of flaws
people have been disconnected against me on numerous occasinos and i have reported all incidents, nothing has happened of course, lol
and in the past i have actually been disconnected and when i came back on i still had 1 disconnect protect remaining on the table. the software must not have recognised i was offline... and from what ive been told, the reason for the disconnect protect is because i-poker is too unreliable a connection not to have it....

oh, and i also was on a table before, got booted from the table and had a stack of 350, tried to get back in...
empty seat, sat back in with 50. opponents were livid , there was me loving it, hehe

The reverse of this happened me on ipoker. Some maniac idiot player buys in for the min amount and builds his stack up to 150bb. He then takes down a 300bb pot against me, leaves the table and 2 minutes later he sits down again with the min buyin... I was fkn raging

Why, are u a maniac idiot player lol? This guys was like 70vpip or so, and no not omaha, 100NL NLHE.... the guy that did it was fcking irish too i just remembered! or so his name suggested, forget what it was tho... I was raging when it happened, i did give him some sh!t and then left.. If the cooler wasn't going to put me on tilt, the guy coming back with min buyin sure was.
