I have a wireless internet on my laptop but my wii cant pick up the signal unfortunately. I would buy the Nintendo USB thingy but it's discontinued and it's like 50 squid at least on eBay.

Will any old USB flash adapter plugged into my laptop redistrubute the network to my wii or will I have to fork out for the Nintendo USB.

How much did you pay for it?

Discontinued? Or just whatever shop you were in has decided not to get them in? As far as I know, at least some generic USB adaptors will work, seeing as all they're doing is setting up a mini Wireless LAN anyway, but better to search a few forums and find out. Apparently Amazon have it in stock, but the price isn't any better than eBay really...

    Amazon Link
