i am having real difficulty with a wireless set up. i can connect to it but cannot connect to the internet. i have a wireless router which is wired and working fine on 1 pc and am trying to get wireless on another. after an ipconfig check the IP under my wireless card is: 169.254.172.236
i see on the FAQ that this means my wireless adapter is not being assigned an IP address...
can anybody help me with the solution with this problem?? is the problem with my wireless adaptor or my router? i attempted emailing BT technical support (my ISP and providers of new wireless router) but the response was pretty pathetic, telling me to check connections etc.

any help or push in the right direction would be much appreciated. cheers
