I have noticed recently that after my hubby & I make love I am left with a very wet
mess thats about and can last till the next morning, this has never happened before
so my question is whats that area like for the ladies after making love sort of speak......

You dont make it clear if its on the bed, but assuming it is it could be that in such a highly aroused state you are ejaculating.

That depends on how wet a woman gets and if she ejactulates or not.
A good suggestion would be to either but a towel under who ever is on the bottom beforehand or put a towel on it afterward when you go to sleep.

The average amount of semen is about 2 teaspoons worth per ejaculation.

It sound more like ( esp given your age) that is is either excess natural female lubricant or else female ejaculate.

Yes, I experience this every time and I always assumed it was his semen coming back out too? I thought this was normal?! Sometimes, it doesn't come out straight away, it could happen up to an hour afterwards.

When a woman get aroused her vagina 'tents' that is it gets bigger inside.
When a woman is no longer aroused then the vagain is no longer 'tented' and it's wall contract and what ever is inside has less room and gets pushed out.

It is not just semen it is also normal vagainal lube which a woman makes naturally while she is still fertile, may also be female ejaculate.

If it smells off/bad/werid or it itches/burns/causes discomfort then go see you dr it could be an infection.

The strange thing is though, this never happens if he is wearing condoms. It doesn’t smell, look different or cause any irritation at all. I always thought it was natural and not a cause to go to the doctor?

It is natural.
Its when there is a change in it that may indicate an infection.

Sounds normal to me too - its amazing how wet a couple of teaspoons can make you feel, hence all the jokes about who sleeps in the wet patch

Me and my partner don't use condoms and it can be a very damp experience. In general I go with the idea that getting very wet is a good sign, No?!

I have just read all the advice and it has been a great help! I experience the same thing. But only when Condom not used. Liquid can take as long as the next morning to come out.

So its definetely not a cause to be worried and only his semen and my extra lubricant??

It's just his semen coming back out, I thought that was normal? Yes it is very annoying and messy.

well as mentioned earlier the average ejaculate is two teaspoons so it will be a mix of that and normal vaginal fluids or just vaginal fluids its amoot point which and sdepends on the volume.. anmd trust me i have seen an awful lot escaping even when no ejaculation has occurred.

But the bottom line in all this is yes its natural

I notice this too from time to time. If it bothers you, or you feel uncomfortable with the wetness, just clean yourself up with a towel afterwards. It won't dry everything but it does help feeling a bit 'fresher'.
