notarized on info needed

    Hi all

    just a quick question,

    i have been offered a new job but they require some stuff from me, maybe im being stupid but they want a notarized copy of my passport and original copy of my birth cert notarized,
    what exactly do they want?

    is it a copy of my passport stamped by the gardai?

    They want to prove if you have work permit or if you are permitted to work in Ireland. It's normal these days

    If they mean 'notarized' in the strict sense of the word then the signatures on the documents will have to be witnessed/sealed by someone who holds the office of Notary Public. If my memory serves me correctly solicitors are normally the people who are entitled to hold this office.
