i have a MacBook that i use everyday but i would like to use it as a monitor for an external input.

i remember seeing a small box that took a VGA input to a USB output. it allowed you to use a laptop as an external monitor.

i've tried googling but cant come up with anything... lots of forums about physically removing the panel from a laptop and rewiring etc..

does anybody know such a device or have any other info??

    cheers

Sounds like any of the number of video capture devices around.
    Example

Also you're not the first to ask this apparently !

I've seen a USB video card that allows connection of a VGA monitor to a USB port but I can't imagine it being much good speed wise. What about using Remote Desktop or VNC - over a 100Mb network connection it should be usable - over a 1Gb system it's definitely usable.
