i have a MacBook that i use everyday but i would like to use it as a monitor for an external input.

i remember seeing a small box that took a VGA input to a USB output. it allowed you to use a laptop as an external monitor.

i've tried googling but cant come up with anything... lots of forums about physically removing the panel from a laptop and rewiring etc..

does anybody know such a device or have any other info??

    cheers

What are you trying to connect to the laptop? If you want to use its screen as a secondary screen for another computer, there is software that does this over LAN...

Theres no way to put video into 99% of laptops though....

yeah i've seen that maxi-something software for laptops but it wont work for my purpose.

yeah i would have thought that 99% of laptops wouldnt, but this yoke was a box that takes in VGA and outputs USB into a computer (laptop) and then the software that comes with said box displays the image on the laptop screen.

    cheers for the reply,
