Problem with Tiger Woods 08 Online

    Hey all,

    Everytime I try to play an online game of Tiger Woods 08 on the PS3 I get a message saying "match host appears to be disconnecting".

    This even happens when I'm hosting a match.

    I'm using Eircom broadband. Is this a problem with my router config or whats the story? :confused:

    Go to the manual and read the online play section - they may require you to open certain ports.

    Try setting your PS3 up in the DMZ on your router and see if this makes any difference, can you play online with any other games?

    Where is the DMZ section in the router (netopia), I have installed a static IP but cannot find where I can manage the DMZ? Cheers

    Depends on your netopia router, but when you browse to the router address there should be an option for expert mode then click on configure, you should see an option for something like default server, put you PS3 ip address there save and restart.

    Let me know what model netopia router and i'll have another look

    Its the 2247. I went into router settings and set up a static IP and done a portforward to this static IP, seems to be working grand.

    Hi, i have the same problem (eircom as well)

    no problem playing any other game online just tiger woods 08.

    i put the PS3 in a DMZ and it works well for me now

    I figured out the problem with unable to play because you get a message seems the player is disconnecting! You need to have your router between you and the ps3. I had my connection straight from the satelite connection and was getting a NAT3 connection. YOu need a NAT2.
