seeing a different gp???

    Im a bit confused as far as this goes. Is it ok to go to any gp. I mean i need to get perscriptions that iv been gettin the last few years so does it matter if go to a different doctor?

    I guess it's up to a GP if they wish to register you with their practise.

    I'd imagine it would involve you changing GP officially though. Unless you needed an emergency prescriptioni on holidays etc.

    If you're on regular meds then you probably have a medical history, the details of which are with your original GP. Any new GP would want to know if you were to stay on those meds indefintely, or was there a plan to reduce them etc.
