Reminds me of the moment at the end of season 3

when Walt said to Locke "Get up John, you have work to do" What's all this work to do? Perhaps here Christian is just a manifesto of something perhaps the island itself, just like Walt when he told Locke to get up.

Odd. Though it might have been the smoke, but why would the smoke disguise himself as Christian to talk to a dog? And he would have had to smell like Christian too or Vincent wouldn't have recognised him, right?

True..but the island/black smoke was p1ssed off with Eko then.

So is the black smoke totally seperate to the island? Is it just a 'security system' as has been suggested or is the manifesto of the island..

I had subscribed to the "Christian is most definitely dead" way of thinking since the pilot but this newest bit of info baffles me! I mean, we're to assume that this is the monster, taking the form of Christian much like it took the form of Yemi? But this is the first time we've seen an island apparition from outside the perspective of the losties! So if this is the monster, then why take the form of a man, or even better yet, a man that's unfamiliar to Vincent!?

Also, why would the monster feel the need to dress Christian Shepard in a pair of white runners?!

So Christian is alive?! Or...... what...... ?
