Whilst datamining, I came across an unusual session of 27 hands at 2/4NL heads-up where over $3000 was dumped. Here is one of the hands:

    FullTiltPoker Game #xxxxxxxxxxx: Table xxxxxxxx (heads up) - $2/$4 - No Limit Hold'em - xxxxxxxxx ET - 2008/xx/xx/
    Seat 1: Chip_Dumpee ($272)
    Seat 2: DONATOR ($400)
Chip_Dumpee posts the small blind of $2
DONATOR posts the big blind of $4
The button is in seat #1
    *** HOLE CARDS ***
    Chip_Dumpee raises to $12
DONATOR has 15 seconds left to act
    DONATOR calls $8
    *** FLOP *** [Qh 6c 8d]
DONATOR has 15 seconds left to act
    DONATOR bets $220
Chip_Dumpee raises to $260, and is all in
    DONATOR folds
Uncalled bet of $40 returned to Chip_Dumpee
    Chip_Dumpee mucks
    Chip_Dumpee wins the pot ($463.50)
    *** SUMMARY ***
    Total pot $464 | Rake $0.50
    Board: [Qh 6c 8d]
Seat 1: Chip_Dumpee (small blind) collected ($463.50), mucked
Seat 2: DONATOR (big blind) folded on the Flop

I mean that is just brainless, these guys should have their accounts frozen for being this unimaginative

It could be part of a funds transfer or something. You give me $$ in cash in real life, I'll dump some $$'s to you on Full Tilt. Risky though since the poker sites will confiscate funds for this.

Working in the poker fraud/collusion industry myself, that looks like a standard dump. I'm surprised it didnt go raise preflop , reraise to 220 raise all in and then fold. No flop no drop. Its a pretty bad attempt at collusion and I'd send the hand ID onto the collusion team at FTP.

Can i just ask why it's illegal/ against the T&C's to do this? Surely they're not ripping other people off if it's heads up and in fact all they're doing is paying rake?

I guess its because it makes money laundering so easy

Don't snitch on them!!!! What harm is it doing in a headsup game?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,092 ✭✭✭Glowingmind

Well the possibility that there's a stolen credit card in use might be a bit harmful.

cant really understand why... isn't there a player to player transfer facility on he site? Maybe I'm missing something.....

Well, I suppose it's much easier for authorities to track money that is moved with a player transfer than money "lost" to another player.

Do some of you busybodies have nothing better to be doing with your time?. Ffs the guy wants to transfer some money to his m8s a/c and people get all hot and bothered about collusion. Sad.

    lol

a guy walked into a casino, played off the casino's ac sayin he had none (which is a common occurence), lodged 2k lost it within 1hr. then went to play another 2k, the a/c e was playing on and the a/c he conveniently lost all his money to also was frozen and had its money seized.

Such busybodies - obv he was just really bad at poker, and someone else had read his soul

You have no idea what your talking about so don't comment.
My job is fraud, as I stated in the above comment.
There could be a stolen credit card on the dumpers account.
The company is liable for the funds lost if not caught, so thats why it is a good idea to forward the details on to GlowingMind.

player funds transfer is available on full tilt and a lot of sites. It would make little sense to "pass" funds in the above way with such things available.

it is quite feasible that someone could be dumping off a hacked account where any transfer would have the recipient held to account for receiving the cash

Very suprising that they would risk chip dumping, given their very incriminating usernames.
