Anyone know how easy it is to get a replacement for a 3ireland phone when it becomes faulty.. i have a nokia e65 and it has become so slow that it takes 2mins to open a text and some of the buttons are not responding.. it seems that this model has been problematic for loads of people.. i am just wondering if i can get it changed in a 3ireland store or possibly that nokiarepair store off grafton street. im guessing ill most likely have to make a call to three's indian support line for about 35 hours to sort this mess out

How old is the device? It will probably have to be sent away for repair if it is over 30 days. you should not need to contact their CC.

To me it sounds like one of two things:

It is a symbian phone. Is it possible you have mulltiple applications open? This slows them down something rotten.

Or possibly a software update is needed. I am unsure if you can do this on the device itself or need to bring it into a repair centre, but nokia's website will tell you.

Bring it into the store they should look after it for you. You can also bring it into the Nokia centre if you don't trust them :)

Best to do it in the 3 store though, so the settings etc. will definitely be correct when it comes back.

I would check the apps as mentioned above though, if you hold down the symbian key (the blue swirly one) for 5 seconds it will show you if multiple apps are open. Do this when it is slow.

Make sure to close your apps instead of navigating away by using the red button.

Also note that the more messages you have on your symbian device the slower they get. It may be time for a clear out. (This is an issue with my n95. I'm not sure if it a virtual memory issue or if its simply the memory getting over loaded when you navigate to messages. Maybe someone could enlighten us?)
