sky digibox to media pc keeps timing out when recording

finally got around to setting this up with fta digibox so that i can record utv/ch4/ch5 etc whilst watching sky plus it keeps going into standby every 15 minutes when not being actively used is the digibox faulty or have i got settings wrong somewhere?

Does the digibox go into standby when it isn't connected to the PC? If it does, then it's faulty. If not, then the problem is most likely PC/software related.
