Right. I'm gonna come out of the closet here and say that I love a skinny woman. I'm not particularly proud of it, I'm berated every time I go out by my mates. People make me feel like some kind of pervert.

It's not like I'm into frikking Ethiopians or anorexic chicks- just the slimmer side of healthy. Keira Knightly kind of build.

Why do I have to be ashamed of this when it's fine to be into fat/old/ginger chicks?

Am I alone in my shame?

There's nothing wrong with skinny women, but I would have thought there is a lot more to your choice in partner than the size of her waist. What about her breast size, face, personality, sex appeal.....sorry about that, what I meant to say was, f*ck off to personal issues.

The thing is that there ARE naturally skinny girls, I went out with one for quite sometime. She ate less but probably had a worse diet than me, getting chipper food all the time.

There's wimmins who are skinny because they look after themselves and keep fit, and then there's ones who are doing a lot of damage to themselves to look skinny. I wouldn't want the latter.

The thing is that in the flesh scarlett johansson would be tiny by comparison to the average, or what is considered "curvy". Curvy is almost always shorthand for chunkier than the average bear. Nothing wrong with that is that's what does it for you. I've seen ms johansson from fairly close in and she is very small framed. She has meat on her but not a lot. I've seen Keira Knightley too and she is miniscule(with very short legs strangely).

Could anyone say the disaster she is now is an improvement on her previous look? I couldn't believe how great she used to look - and how she'd let herself stoop so low.

That's too skinny - but as Karl mentioned, it's the kind of skinny that goes way beyond a natural tendency towards slim and that specifically is so unattractive. Skinny girls are fine, as long as they're just that - skinny, and not stick and bone. I'd have a personal preference to size 12-14, but in saying that, it's so subjective - to height, body type, etc. Generally, I'd mean something like the women from the Dove Ads:

I don't know. I think it refers to the hourglass shape. It can be used about someone who's fat but that's just Closer magazine bull****.
Truly luscious curvy women are: Salma Hayek, Monica Bellucci and Kelly Brook (even if she is a bint). Angelina used to be gorgeously curvy but she's heading for Winehouse territory now.

Whatever you are into I suppose. But I do think I would be quite hurt if I was into a fella and he wasn't interested because I was fat, curvy or whatever you want to call it. That may be why people give you a hard time.

Still though, it's kinda unfair on women who are naturally skinny for people to feel it's ok for a guy to say he finds skinniness disgusting.

Well yea it works both ways and even if you are unnaturally skinny its not fair either if thats what you want to be. I don't believe anyone can be naturally as thin as Keira Knightly or Amy Winehouse though no matter how much either one protests.

There's naturally skinny and there's "Oh god I had an apple on Monday so I can't eat for the rest of the week", the latter I think is what most what call disgusting, not those with a slight build.

Jesting aside, I like guys with a certain "look" and that's normal. I don't like skinny blokes, and I don't like overly overweight blokes. I won't apologise for that, and guys have no need to apologise for having preferences either. It's whatever floats everyone's individual sea-faring vessels.

Well Im thinking about a specific time this happened when I was mad about this fella for ages and he told me one night. Thanks but I really don't like fat chicks. Now that hurt so I can't blame someone who is very slim for feeling the same way when someone says skinny is disgusting or whatever.

Well he's entitled to a preference for slim girls but if he said it to you in those words then he's a dip**** and you had a lucky escape.

Personally, I don't find Kiera Knightly very attractive at all. Nice face, but no curves to speak of.

I used to think like that but recently I had a thing with a mate's brother who is extremely thin but I actually find it weirdly attractive. He was still all man.

I think skinny is sexy so long as its in a somewhat athletic rather then anorexic way. I like curvy too but maybe im just not too picky. Strange that skinny girls dont seem as popular as curvy when they tend to get a terrible time from other girls who are jealous they dont put weight on easily. Im more of an ass then tits guy and noticed that other guys who like skinny girls seem to be the same.
