    As a result of advice given on my thread entitled 'restricting' last week (among others), I have become the proud owner of a (restricted) rat look Bandit 600. Big up to you guys, wish me luck with the theory test!!

    I'll get some snaps tomorow in daylight and give ye a peep!! I really do mean it's a Rat Look but it's like the budgie- cheep. Not as much abuse as neglect, really. Maybe I'll get some snaps in the dark, actually:p. I must paint the mudguard and around the saddle area <insert correct terminology here> and that'll be enough to give it a nice lift and make it look more like the correct '99 again, instead of '89.

    Passed theory test 38/40 (I'm going to look over the book again- I was confident about everything which made me worried when I found out I missed two).

    Now for insurance:(

    Not factory restricted I'm afraid. I'm 26 and have full NCB (7 yrs next month) currently have a 2.8L car. Full car license since passing first time in '01 and I'm points free. (I really am a good little boy:p)

    Currently insured with Quinn as I have been for about five of my seven years but they don't want to know about the bandit- they say the bike is too powerful as they don't recognise an aftermarket restrictor. I'm sure they'll cave:p I just made the point that it was the least unsuitable of all the bikes I tried that suits my 6'4" frame.

    As I've said car insurance is up for renewal at the end of Feb- maybe that could sway them?? Will give me some time for some basic training too.

    They won't want to lose you so I would definitely tell them that their either insure you or lose your business next month! Of course you don't have to... ;)
