    That's very impressive, especially the ratchet. I'd love to see it run, although it can't have much durability.

    I used to have a wooden bike, with wooden wheels, wooden pedals and a wooden seat. There was only one problem.....

    wow. i've seen plenty of wooden framed bikes but nothing like that. it's both very clever and very stupid at the same time, which i like.

    next he will be making a working tumble dryer, entirely out of pasta.

    Good on him. Impressive that it even has a freewheel.

    As others have mentioned, there are actually wooden framed bikes that are actually practical (Calfee's bamboo frames in particular.)
