Clutch slave cylinder for a Mk. II Punto?

Fair swap, you might say :D

Seriously though, I drove the SO's runabout the other day, and noticed that the pedal dropped about 4 cm before disengaging the clutch, in other words there's that amount of free play before it acts on the clutch lever under the bonnet. It works, but I don't want it failing suddenly and leaving her stuck somewhere.

I'm assuming that its the slave cylinder that's at fault. I doubt there's air in there as it doesn't feel spongy. Would I be as well to change the master as well?

Any known issues with this mechanism on Puntos?

    TIA.
