How to join 2 video files together

I have pt1 and pt2 of a movie, just wondering if there's someway to merge the two together so I can watch them on one disc.

They're avi format. I want to merge them together to transfer onto a dvd.

You can use Virtual Dub to Append the second segment onto the first and save it, alternatively just use Convert X To DVD and add both files in order, click Sequential Playback and it will just pause for a sec, btw Convert X To DVD will convert any movie type to dvd, even burns them!

Just use Nero to burn both files to DVD. It will join them automatically.
