Once I heard they were bringing out another Hulk movie I cringed, getting flashbacks of Ang Lee's disaster. But then I heard Ed Norton was playing the Hulk and it was telling the story from the beginning, (without Ang Lee), so I'm excited as hell. Norton is renowned as a heavyweight in the acting industry and he comes across as intelligent too so I'm hoping he'll take Bruce Banner and make him into someone more than what Eric Bana did. He's already changed part of the script to the way HE wants it and I feel that's a good sign. I don't mind muscle beating the s**te out of tanks and stuff but if they rely on that to draw in the crowds I'll be shocked given Norton's acting ability.

He's a fantastic actor, so I think he'll do a great job. Ang Lee's effort was terrible but this looks like it'll be a whole lot better. Hopefully CGI won't ruin it though.

This spells the end of Norton's career.

It seems strange that they are redoing the whole thing only a few years after a mediocre film. Its not like the Hulk was a proven franchise like Batman was when they restarted the films with Begins.

No but everyone agrees that the series to be needs to be rebooted.

No they don't. There were a lot of people who liked the original Hulk. I thought Bana was great in it.

I liked it too, well, I didn't think it was as bad as some thought but some parts of the film were cringe worthy.
And I thought this franchise, along with all the others was aiming for the realistic approach on the super hero genre.

It's funny, but I picked up Lee's Hulk on DVD for a fiver there last week, and I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than I did first time round. There were definite short-comings with it (imo), but still, a lot to admire... The vitriolic abuse it gets from comic book fans is undeserved.

But that's by the by, as this new movie is well under way. I'm happy to see a good cast involved... Not just Norton, but Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky (aka Abomination), William Hurt as General Ross, and Tim Blake Nelson as the Leader.

And Norton actually wrote the entire screenplay (not just parts of it). I'm a little concerned with the choice of director (Louis Leterrier of Transporter and Unleashed fame), but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

I'm more excited about this movie than the Dark Knight believe it or not. Probably because I was a huge Hulk fan as a kid. And here in the anonymity of cyber space, I can freely admit that as a 5 year old, I had a matching Hulk t-shirt and underpants set. Yes, it's true, that was how in awe of the big green fella I was.

The 2003 film had me very excited. As I say, I've grown to like it more with repeat viewings, but initially I didn't like the slower pace, the lack of genuine bad guys (mutated poodle anyone?), and something about the Hulk himself didn't seem right... Don't get me wrong, the CGI was very well realised, but something about him didn't seem very behemoth like. Perhaps he was a tad too light on his feet?

Anyway, this 2008 reboot (or whatever they're calling it) will be a vastly different film from Ang Lee's interpretation. Whether or not it's different in a good or bad way, only time will tell.

I liked the first hulk movie, as has been said Bana was great, I remember when there was first mention of a new Hulk with Ed Norton someone saying his head was all wrong lol I agree he has a narrow head I just can't see him being a hulk

I'm also a fan of Bana's Hulk. Norton's a decent actor, if the role fits him but I don't think he'll pull it off. I'm all for a sequel with Bana though. But that'll never happen now. :(
