Couple of snaps from a trip to Barcelona last November. Had to escape the rain for a while!

Fisheye really suits that stuff man, number two is fantastic. Nice work in the mini-meet thread too. What's the fisheye?

Nice shots. Which part of Barcelona did you catch those?

Yeah they were shot with fisheye. I used Nikons 10.5 fisheye on a D200 for the bmx shots and the ones in the mini meet were used with Sigma 15mm fisheye on a D3.
Was up between Virrei Amat & Llucmajor on the metro system. Pretty sketch ghetto neighbourhood with tons of syringes everywhere. Not a place you want to fall off the bike!

Area looks a bit sketchy alright. Either end of the yellow metro line can be a bit dodge in Barna. I've heard some bad reports about the area closest to the Besos river in particular where they settled lots of gypsys back in the 60s and 70s.

FWIW, your first shot gets my top vote.

The last shot is shot between Besos & Besos Mar. Been the Barca a good few times. Besos never seemed to be too bad in the past for us, but that particular spot is known as "the waves" as the ground is shaped lke smoth flowing concrete waves with that rail at the end to hop over.

Cool, nice to know. They redeveloped a lot of that area recently enough for the whole Forum thing in 2004. La Mina is the name of the area around there that used to be pretty much no-go.

Forum is pretty nuts alright. A friend had an accident there a few years ago, went to carve over the huge double doors down there and his wheel wiped at just as he came to the bottom. Instant knock out, didn't remember where he was, who he was, what he was doing, no teeth left etc... scary stuff. People thought he was dead at first with such an impact to his head/face.

Ouch, hurts even thinking about it! Sounds like a dentist's dream patient though.
