The Secret Life of Us.. why is this great programme only ever shown at 2AM on RTÉ?

Probably because its years old, think the was 2000/2001. RTE showed it in an earlier slot then. Didn't realise they were re-showing it now. Its a good series alright but I'm sure there'd be whinging if they showed it at a more civilized hour i.e. wasting licence money on a dated show. Its probably dirt cheap to buy and show at this stage aswell.


EDIT : Just checked IMDB, the show ran 2001-2005. I didn't realise there were that many series.

yeah I know what you mean, it is a repeated series. I just enjoy watching it more than a lot of the stuff they show in the evening times. Pity it kinda fizzled out at the end.. the wikipedia article mentions "..The show was cancelled after the first two episodes of the fourth series had aired in Australia to disastrously low ratings. The program was removed from its prime-time timeslot and the final, unscreened, episodes from that season were broadcast with little publicity in late 2005."

think I'll try and order the DVDs so I can watch it whenever I like then

I used to watch this all the time when originally aired. You'll find I started a thread about it years ago...

Yeah i see it on the tv schedule but know there's no way i'll get to see it. Annoying.
The whole series fizzled out near the end when there was an almost complete change of cast. Really once it lost Evan as main character, it's end was near.
Yeah i wouldn't mind getting them on dvd either. If you see them cheap let me know!

As was 'Alias', 'Undeclared', 'Freaks & Geeks' (to name but a few)..

.. you sensing a pattern here? RTÉ's schedulers always had their heads in their asses!
