Sorry if something like this topic has already been posted!

Was out today and came across a "hunt" - lots of beagles(?) and rich folk on their horses..... but even though it was visually a nice photo op I just couldnt take any photos.... hope no foxes were involved!

Is there anything you've seen but just coludnt take a photo of it?

ye i dont think there is anything that i wouldnt take a picture of after all if im able to look at it then so should others have the choice to(that sounded better in my head i think)

do you mean you wouldnt take the visually nice picture of the hunt as you dont want to be seen as glamourising hunting? if thats the case you just need to offset it like take pics of foxes etc and then arrange in such a way that its obvious the beautifull foxes are going to be killed by the beautifull but deadly hunt...............i think

Was put in this position not long ago.

An old man being trampled to death by equally old people (long story). Was taking photos and had to stop to attempt to rescue him (of course). A photo is not worth having someones death on your conscience.

He was rescued, though not entirely due to me.

Homeless people, people in unfortunate situations and "White Trash".

Someone that is dying that I could obviously save/help.

Someone injured that I could obviously save/help.

Anything illegal (don't want to be further spreading the image that someone with a long lens is a paedophile).

But other than that I use my own judgment on whether I press that button or not.

Not to be controversial, but why not take photos of a hunt? Presumably the fox was (sadly) going to be killed either way. A good photo of the event itself could serve as a poignant reminder as to why hunting is wrong (to some people)

    Do they still chase foxes?
Anytime I've seen it, they set down a scent & lead the dogs over a predetermined route. If I had the chance to photograph a hunt, I definitely would.

I believe they use aniseed. Although I've seen them smear blood on the ground to get the dogs all riled up

I have to agree. I've never seen a hunt actually chase a fox. And it's something I certainly would photograph.

As for things I wouldn't photograph - death in an accident (car/house etc). Almost everything else is fair game.

I didnt think this would turn to a "would/wouldnt" photo a hunt, and I dont want really want to get into a debate on why i wouldnt.

I just wouldnt, like the other things people have listed they wouldnt want to photgraph.

Ye gods there are some sick ****os on this forum.

You're an imense tool, if you wanna further your personal crusade, take it elsewhere. FWIW I love animals and would definetely photograph a hunt. I have my reasons, as I'm sure others here do.
