Well I'm looking to extend my FTA setup here at home. I've got the chance to purchase a PACE 2600C1 or an Amstrad DRX200. Currently I only have a PACE 2500 and was wondering how either of the two boxes mentioned above compare to the 2500.
    Thanks for any advice. :)

I'd definitely go for the Pace 2600 C1.

Is the only major issue with them the problem with updating the EPG?? If I pick one up with the latest EPG on it will it been in good working order?

Well, since your only choices are the notorious Amstrad or a Pace...

I've read alright that software updates might have been issues on the 2600's alright, not sure what the story is these days. Is it possible for you to check the box is working before purchase? Generally, these boxes were reliable, unlike the 2500 predecessor. There was another variant called a 430N (which superceded the 2600C1 AFAIK), which is what I have, though it has been relegated due to Sky+

I should be able to see it working before purchase. Have you got any other ideas on where I could pick up a second hand Sky Box?

There doesn't seem to be any on adverts or buy and sell.
