Record stereo with 'AverTV Go' TV card?

I got a new TV card, an Avermedia 'AverTV Go 007 FM+' card. When I'm recording my programs I want to record stereo sound with it, but I've tried 2 different applications (from Avermedia) and none of them give me an option to record stereo.

My i/p to the card is via co-axial from my Sky box, and my sound is from the Sky box also, ie. Red & White o/p's. But the software gives me a 'greyed' out option when choosing a recording source!, defaulting to the 'Direct Sound'. I have an Inspiron desktop (WinXP Pro & Vista) with the Realtek High Def sound card. BTW Vista keeps crashing with this card, even with Avermedia's software!

The RF output of a Sky digibox is mono. Perhaps your card isn't making use of the phono connectors you're also using.

Yes its the phono o/p into either the TV card (it has only a sound i/p, ie. no o/p) or just straight into the PC (into my Line-in) that the software is not giving me an option to record from, ie. greyed out. any help, pleeeeeeease !
