Any info and advice on this would be much appreciated. Trying to decide on what to invest in, in the region of a gas powered pistol. Currently thinking "Bell M92 GBB" http://www.eirsoft.ie/store/product_info.php?cPath=33&products_id=19

Or tokyo Marui Desert Eagle .50AE Hardkick

    Or YP SOCOM MK23 http://dw2.ie/airsoft-guns/pistols/-yp-socom-mk23.html

    Already have a few LPEGs

Wouldnt buy from them, rip off ireland..try main irish airsoft or airsoft eire or irish airsoft supplies.

Firstly, this is in the wrong thread. There's a sticky at the top of the main board thats dedicated to these kind of questions

Secondly, digital warehouse is exceptionally overpriced for all of their airsoft stock. Avoid like plague.

    www.mainirishairsoft.com
    www.eirsoft.ie
    www.airsofteire.com
    www.irishairsoftsupplies.com

These companies all do top quality items for a fraction of the price DW will charge for mid-grade to poor quality equipment.

I have yet to puchase my first GBB pistol and would like to know which is better.
    Y&P Socom mk23 or Bell M9
If there's better for same price let me know.

    Cheers

The TM eagle is great fun, but beware you need a mother of a leg holster for it, its really quite a heavy gun and i find running around with it strapped to my leg can be really quite awkward.

If you want a desert eagle id recomend the ksc/kwc metal slide version. It kicks harder than a TM hard kick too.

Weighs nearly a kilograme so it feels allmost real.

Only problem is trying to get spare mags for it is a bitch.

Trying to get the Pistol itself seems to be a bitch too if ya wanna
buy Irish. I dont want a TM one so was looking out for a metal slide one
or else that sweet 84 Euro all ABS one.

Ideally I would love a full metal Desert Eagle but cant find any manufacture
    that does them.

After my Last Purchase with Redwolf and getting my Credit Card Canceled
because of the order (even though I paid via paypal) I am reluctant to
use them..........even though on my other browser tab as I type Redwolf's
page is open. MMmmmm and I got some redwolf points left from my last order.
Dont see all metal DE's though only ones with metal slides.

    OP, if your mind isn't set, I must reccommend the Sig P226, TM do a version but it isn't all metal;
    Marui_SIG_P226_Railed_Frame_Ver.jpg

Or you can get a cheaper one that is all metal, but a bit lower quality.

    All metal P226 on Eirsoft
    Same gun on Airsoft Eire

They are the same price on both sites, MIA & IAS don't stock the 226.

Currently my favorite GBB that I have! and rarely given any problems.
It was also my first GBB that I bought.

I'd give a big thumbs up!

Is that deagle powerful? Can it shoot through a can of coke for example

Ive gotten it to go through the bottom of a can of Heineken at allmost point blank (1 inch) with the can held in place. Before everyone starts screaming thats over a joule acording too the "coke can test" its not. Coke can test is from 2 inches with the can UNsuported. I got my AEG 1J upgraded and the eagle fires faster to the naked eye. Then again the Garda fireamrs division/bureueooorst(beuroeoeoeoe??? spelling?) had my eagle for nearly 2 months ( ) when it arrived. Took it right outa customs for that long and it still got too me. Did i get ripped off with the 1j upgrade? Time for a chrono test on the aeg.....by god im rambling and i havnt even had a beer yet. ALL HAIL BEING HALF BROKE!

If THEY are selling it for 50€ its probably worth 15€ or less, and by the looks of it is sh1te.

"innovative non blowback" Blowback is the innovation, lack of it isnt.

YP? never heard of em, not a good sign.

Ok, avoid the DE like the plague. Unless you like a really big pistol. That might sound like a good idea at first. But the novelty gets old really quickly when you have to start carrying it around.
There is a reason the DEs are scarce.

If you really feel the need for a big sidearm, get the SOCOM set. - You can take bits off that one....

My advise however is to start with one of the all metal 1911s. They are cheap, sturdy, easy to get mags for etc.
Or if you must get a..........glock.

*sweet Jesus it nearly killed me to say that*

Sorry lads, not advertising, just correcting, we normally do stock the KJW 226, just out at the moment.

I'm looking into this one as my first gun. They don't seem to be in stock on airsofteire currently or anywhere for that matter. Anyone know how long airsoft eire usually take to re-stock these?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 769 ✭✭✭AirsoftEire.com

More coming in, in roughly 10-14 days. Same as the KWC DEs.

I'd agree with Alvin about the novelty of the DEs wearing off quickly though, they're great to have and shoot in your own time, but as a practical sidearm in a skirmish, they aren't the best choice.
