    Hey Guys,

    I have 2 Hdds in my pc, an 80GB Western Digital WD800JD & a 200GB Seagate ST3200826AS.

Now the 80gb hdd was used in a raid set a while back with a faulty differant 200gb hdd..

The 200gb eventually broke down, so I bought a new 200gb hdd for my space needs. Recently I wanted some more space ,so i decided to get out the 80gb, format it and use it. Well I formatted it alright, but windows reports it has 149GB of space :confused: And to make it worse (or better:p) the hdd is working and fine .. Also Speedfan, reports it as its true 80GB cap. (EDIT : BTW, Im running from the 200gb Seagate, On xp pro... Thats how I can format it while in windows.)

Its just that I want to install vista onto it ,but vista doesent detect it, only my other 200gb sata.. And its nothing to do with chipset drivers as I have them loaded. I formatted the 80gb again and it is still ''149gb'' and not being detected Vista setup.

    Please help :o

    Barry.

Nope, Just did it the lazy cmd line way..

I cant remember about the format though when I started using it again a few months ago.

    Any suggestions ?

    Also,

Now when I unplug my 200gb SATA and just boot my formatted 80gb, Windows gives the ''NTLDR is Missing'' Error ...

That cant be good, as it should just be giving the spiel about cant find a congiffuration etc :(
