Cargiant Question

    Hi

At the moment I'm in the market for a car. I have roughly 15k to spend. I do have long trips to work on bad country roads, 45miles each way but only three days a week. I am looking for economy but also comfort, looks etc.

That said, don't know if any of you have heard of cargiant but they're a London based dealer with massive selection of cars. Just a comparison below

    05 Passat 1.9 TDi 105 SE New Shape Saloon 37,000 miles +VRT = E18,711

    Specs

    Specification: Air-conditioning, 16" Alloy wheels
Radio with CD-Player, Electric Windows (front and rear)
    Electric Mirrors, Central Locking
    Power-Steering, Cruise Control
ABS brakes with Traction Control, Airbags (multiple)
    Rear Head-Rests

    Comparison

    Passat 1.9 TDI SE 105 New Model = E24,000

So as you can see they're is a big saving and you get alot for your money. Has anybody had dealings with this company? Is there many downsides taking this route even?

Is that the new VRT rate you are using? Also the road tax will be cheaper if you register after 1st July. I'm thinking of getting something after July.

all the best cars in cargiant get snapped up very quick...

those ones you are looking at will probably be gone next week

with cargiant, its a matter of going over, having a look and see if anything fits

if not, then come back tomorrow and again & again

I read on the rte webpage particularly this statment "The Minister said these new car tax rates will apply only to new cars and to cars being registered for the first time in the Republic"

Does this mean if you bring a pre-2008 car into the Republic from Great Britain that you qualify for new VRT rules. If so I be better off waiting till July?
