Replacement Laptop Battery

    I have a Targa Visionary Laptop. After nearly 3 years use the battery now only lasts about 5min.

    I got a quote from the Targa sales team for a replacement:

    1 x battery li-ion 4400mAh 755ca 99,00 EURO
    Warranty: 12 months
    + Freight costs to uk /IE 25,00 EURO
    The prices are incl. 19 % German VAT

    It seems a bit expensive to me, given the laptop itself is only prob worth about 300/400.....

    Anyone know of anywhere to get reasonably priced batteries for laptops? And can use other brand batteries in laptops, or do each manufacturer have different sizes etc ??

    try laptop parts . ie google that as is because im not sure of the actual site address.


    theres a trick to cheating ni-cad batteries into working again. apparently you need to empty them of charge, then put em in your freezer for a week, wrapped in a bag. then charge it fully. repeat this acouple of times and youll get back a good amount of battery time.

    but, who has the time to waste doing that!!!!!!!!!
