Ireland is bent when it comes to alcohol laws. There shouldn't be any. But anyway ..

Is Europe generally the same? If I go away for Easter weekend will pubs be closed and alcohol hard to come by for Friday and Sunday?

Places like Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin, Salzburg, etc ?

    Thanks

It's only one night FFS. What's bent is Irish people's attitude to alcohol. It's not even the end of January and some people are plotting their escape for Good Friday.

Most other European cities are probably business as usual so you can get totally as drunk as you want.

I'm booking my holiday 6 weeks in advance, for that I apoligise.

Now ... as for it being "only one night". I'm going away for 4 nights, I'd like to make sure that there's places to go and drink / relax for all of those nights. Yes, my idea of relaxing on this short break is down the pub with the lads having a few pints. This is me, this is what I want to do.

I'm not going away to get away from Good Friday. I'm going away because I want to.

As for bent attitudes to alcohol, that's for another thread in another forum.
