Replacement cds for broken media? (Office XP)

    Hi Folks,
has anyone ever got a replacement cd from microsoft after their original media broke? It looks like American and Canadian customers can do it, but I can't find any mention of something similar for European customers.

We've got a bunch of licences for office xp here, but no media - and it seems a royal pain trying to find a place in ireland that ships the original office xp version. (much less an OEM copy!)

    Any pointers? Cheers!
    Rob.

    Perhaps give microsoft a ring?

I'm sure they'd oblige (although in sayng that I've never had to do it), there might be a small charge for the postage though.

Software spectrum are a company that will ship the media. I doubt its free but they definitely do it. We get replacement disks every so often.

    Hi Guys,
I was hoping to avoid ringing up Microsoft - I didn't want to end up in one of those endlessly transferred conversations.

6(ish) transfers later and one of their activation people helpfully pointed out you could get a replacement disk from *any* reseller (postage costs apply)

Any of these could do it:
    http://www.microsoft.com/ireland/partner/wheretobuy/default.mspx

So that's that sorted! I've got the disk in my hand. I got in touch with them fri, and it was delivered before monday afternoon.

    Cheers folks!
    Rob.
