    can anyone recommend the best, 25 euro or thereabouts for a front light. where are best deals around city centre

    There was a thread about lights here in the past week or so. Do a search and you'll find it easily enough.

    Personally, I only cycle in urban/suburban (i.e. well lit) areas. I use these as front lights on different bikes:

    The Cat Eye one is easy enough to find. I think Cycleways on Parnell Street and Commuting Solutions in Rathmines have them. The other I got fairly cheaply from the Chain Reaction Cycles website.

    I have a Cateye Opticube HL135 as one of my two front lights. Great light, very bright and lasted several months (90 minutes a day) before the stock batteries ran out. Cycleways have them, can't remember the price though.
