Has anyone used this back up programme. It is on a cd free with a mag, I have never heard of it before. The one one the mag is O&O DiskImage 2 SE, but when I looked on the website it said this was for backing up servers? They woukld hardly put a server back up program on a pc mag? I can't recall which mag

Why wouldnt they put a server backup software on a Pc mag cd? A server is , at the end of the day a pc after all. I'd say its an older version of their software that they're giving away as part of a freebie, and O&O have several types of software available all of which seem to be quite good.

SE means special limited edition, probably would have banners or locked out features in the app, more details here, there is a professional package designed for home users, http://www.oo-software.com/home/en/products/, this would possibly be like the free versions of nero/roxio that come with your pc/burner!

With respect to majiktripp I think it probably does mean Special E dition as it is lacking some features. Just wanted to be sure before buy magazine.

I used their recovery and defragment tools, they worked well.

I bought a mag last week and the prog won't run on vista

O&O SE is limited in that it will not allow the creation of a bootable disk, so windows would have to be reinstalled before the disk image. Does anyone know if that ids a very big drawback. I have burnt restore disks which will bring me back to factory image and would want to copy the disk image on to the factory image? That work? Thanks
