Viewing satellite TV in second room

I want to be able to watch satellite TV in a second room in the house, as watching endless cartoons and soaps is testing my reason!. We currently have a single dish and a single Sky box, but no phone as Eircom don't appear to want to hook us up....ever. That puts Sky + and Sky Multiroom out of my reach.

Can anyone give me some alternatives, ones that don't involve putting up a second dish or the names of any companies that deal with this type of situation?

    Cheers

No - it puts Multiroom out, but not Sky+.

Upgrade to Sky+ and keep the current Sky box.
As part of the upgrade they'll change the LNB on the dish to a quad. Get the installer to bring in an extra cable (or two - since the outputs are there) and bring them to the room (or attic preferably if your house is already wired with coax from the rooms to the attic)
Then you can throw the old Sky box into the other room and use it for "Free To Air" channels.

Have a read through some of the older threads and you'll find out more information on it all.
