I have a bunch of 100MB Zip discs, but some were formatted for Mac, some for PC - this is five or six years ago.

Can they now be read agnostically - can I put a PC Zip disc into the same drive as a Mac Zip disc and vice versa - or do I have to try to source separate external drives to transfer the material onto my Mac?

I'm pretty sure they can be read by both OS, but it's been so long since I used them.
With good reason too -- all data on Zip discs should be backed-up to different media (flash drive, CD/DVD, hard disk) IMMEDIATELY, before any one disc OR drive suffers the "click of death"!

Som of them are my own old backups; others belong to someone who went for a one-year round-the-world trip six years ago.... I'm getting tired of looking at his old Zip discs and would like to turf them out.

But some say 'MAC 100' and some say 'ZIP 100 PC Formatted'. I don't want to wreck either my system or someone else's Zip drive trying to read them.
