Car Drift

Does anybody know why cars drift to the left on Irish roads? Is it the crown on the road? I've also heard that cars are set up with a bias to ensure that in the event of the driver falling asleep the car will veer into the ditch rather than into oncoming traffic.

Nope. The road cambers a little to left for drainage.

The car will drift to the right if you are on the wrong side!
