Does anyone know if there are cheap landline to landline phone call rates available from Ireland to Australia. Eircom charges are VERY high.
    Any ideas welcome.

Also, one of my daughters in Aus just bought a 3 mobile with free Skype access, so our call charges have dropped like a brick overnight.

I know when I was in Oz (and this was years ago) it was dirt cheap calling home from the landline, so if you can get someone to call you back it's cheaper from their end

There are loads of them cards where you ring a local number and then they put you through for about 1c a minute!

I'm not sure if it works to Oz but I use Skype all the time for France to Ireland.
You're posting here so you must have PC access.
