Whatever you do don't unplug it before its fully charged, especially on its first charge

Charge it fully that way you can shoot for longer :D

hmmm ive wasted the battery, its quiet hot, when i was shooting the ROF dropped suddenly and then it more a less just died

so do i wait for it to cool down and do another 6 hours or what?

got 1500 rounds or more out of it anyway :D

wait for it to cool and then charge it again, it shouldnt take as long to charge it after the first time and gradualy it will hold more charge as you break it in, unpluging it too early is bad though, the batteries can suffer whats called "memory effect" where they only charge to a certain point and dont last as long as they should., Id say give it 4 hours this time and keep an eye on it, if its not getting pretty warm after 4 hours then leave it a while longer, when it does get warm(almost hot but not really) then its ready,
I have to get myself a decent charger, My 10.8 is taking forever to charge.,lol

Why is that? Something I've never heard before.

Well, thats what my dad said, and it makes sense. Charging cells puts current through them, causing heat. Junior cert science teaches that temperature is directly proportional to resistance, the hotter the cell the higher the resistance. Even if the outside of the batt seems cool the interior may still be hot/warm. If you put bursts of drain on a battery after charging your gonna increse the temp and resistance and could cause overheating and bad ROF. Letting them sit for 30mins will let the heat dissapate. For the same reason you shouldn't use 15 second bursts on your aeg:p

Least thats how I understand it....

So it's just a theory then. You didn't read it in a battery manual that came with an AEG. Therefore it's not fact until proven. So don't state it as fact. As newbies may think it is.

    Double :p
