Ah leave me be. We're getting an OLPC XO for Caira, and that runs Linux.

Poor us, you mean. She ignores all her other toys as she'd rather play on our computers - she both youtube lolcats especially - and at 18 moths is able to use a mouse to scroll through a webpage. When she wants to be she can be incredibly focused and attentive, but we've found there's little outside of our computers that actually engages her.

I figure, why not? We'll educate Caira, entertain her and maybe future-proof her all at once.

EDIT: And knowing how to work through a CLI is a hugely important thing in computing, and will remain so.
