Could anyone recommend a destination in March for a couple (mid 20's).....looking for somewhere that'll be warm so herself can do some sun bathing and somewhere thats not completely dead either. Kinda thinking Canaries or Southern Spain somewhere but havent a clue after that. Would be flying from Cork but would consider going from a different airport for the right destination. Any recommendations on resorts/apartments that might suit us?

    Thanks in advance.

budget do some cheap deals - doesnt cost much more than spain and id say you would have a better chance of some hot weather

Southern Spain might not be that warm in March. I would recommend the Canaries, usually good weather around that type of year. Gran Canaria is pretty good but Playa del Ingles is a bit of a kip. We stayed in Maspalmaos which is about 2miles from Playa del Ingles so we were in a nicer place but could go into Playa del... at night for the nightlife which is really good. Lanzarote is meant to be pretty good too, never been but I have heard of people who go there regularly who are in their mid-twenties and they love it there

I've been to Playa del Ingles before alright and it is a kip so dont wanna go back there to be honest. What would Puerto Rico be like or would it totally dead in March? Or would Puerto de Carmen in Lanzarote be a better bet or maybe somewhere in Tenerife? Is there much difference in the weather in these places in March?

    Sorry for all the questions....

Fuerteventura is my favourite of the Canaries. The weather would be lovely in March too. Rent a car and travel inland - quite scenic with lovely little villages and valleys.

Malta is another option. Not really a sandy beach place, but if you get a nice hotel with a nice pool area, who needs a beach (unless you have kids) There alot of history there so plently of cultural things and sightseeing to do. They are in the EURO now and the despite some opinion to the contrary, I have always found the people extremely friendly!

Check out Ryanair. I just booked a week in Malta for herself, the little fella and me for 225 return also booked a 4 star hotel thru ryanair's website for the week for 265 for the three of us. It is an apartment too. Cant go wrong...dates are 06/03/08-13/03/08.

    Avoid Tunisia at all costs.
