There are two XPS m1330 from the Dell Outlet, can you help me to make a choice? Main specifications as follows (other components are quite similar):

first one:
XPS M1330 CORE 2 DUO T7500 2.20GHZ, 800, 4
13.3" WXGA (1280X800) DISPLAY WITH TRUEL
CRIMSON RED & 2.0 MEGA PIXEL CAMERA FOR
MEMORY DUAL-CHANNEL 2048MB (2X1024) 667M
HARD DRIVE 160GB SERIAL ATA (7200RPM)
8XDVD+/-RW SLIM SLOT-LOAD DRIVE, INCLUDI
PRIMARY 6-CELL 56WHR LI-ION BATTERY
128 MB NVIDIA GEFORCE 8400M GS
EUROPEAN - DELL TRUEMOBILE 355 INTERNAL
DELL WIRELESS 1505 WIRELESS-N MINI-PCI C

Second one

XPS M1330 CORE 2 DUO T7500 2.20GHZ, 800, 4
13.3" WXGA (1280X800) WHITE-LED DISPLAY
TUXEDO BLACK & 0.3 MEGA PIXEL CAMERA FOR
HARD DRIVE 200GB SERIAL ATA (7200RPM)
8XDVD+/-RW SLIM SLOT-LOAD DRIVE, INCLUDI
KENSINGTON - 120W - 3 WIRE - AUTO/AIR –
PRIMARY 4-CELL 37WHR LI-ION BATTERY
OPTIONAL 9-CELL 85WHR LI-ION BATTERY (don't know if it's actually included or not)
INTEL? INTEGRATED GMA X3100
INTEL? NEXT-GEN WIRELESS-N MINI-PCI CARD
EUROPEAN - DELL TRUEMOBILE 355 INTERNAL

They're both with ENGLISH - VISTA ULTIMATE (32BIT OS), no biometric fingerprint reader. The second one costs about 30euros more.

From information of previous owner (checked by service Tag), first one is newer than the second one (1months vs. 3 months) First one was originally ordered by somebody in Ireland, while second one looks from Norway.

Really like both. They're supposed to be one for me, one for my cousin, but if we only want to keep one (since they're really similar, she wants something different), which one should we select? Is it sensible to order both (in case to see scratch etc physical factors), considering the trouble of having to return one maybe.

Sorry for the long post. Wish you can give me some advice. Cheers.

the first one got superior graphics but a smaller hard disk

2nd one got intel graphics, not the best, but a bigger hard disk and a LED display which is apparently rather good.

if graphics mean alot option A is better

The LED display is slimmer and brighter than the normal one, it also uses a little less power (better battery life). Because of the slimmer size, they can only fit a 0.3 megapixel camera above the screen of the LED display (2.0 megapixel camera in the normal model) - that helps tell the difference between the two.

The graphics card in the first is much better - it wouldn't be up to the latest games, but it will play older stuff from around 2004-2005 (like HL2) no problem. The intel x3100 would be grand for general useage, but wouldn't be great for any kind of 3D stuff.

Apparantly the intel next-gen card is a much better wireless card that the Dell 1505.....I havent a clue why though. Google it and you might find info.

The second one has the optional extra battery...BUT im not sure if they include these with the outlet machines.

They're both great spec machines, I couldn't help you decide between. It depends on your own personal preferences and exactly what you need in the laptop.

Thanks guys, I got some ideas now.

Personally I prefer the first one, even I'm not really a gaming person. I use my laptop mainly for running microsoft office applications, some statistic softwares and maybe a bit engineering/drawing/modeling stuff. I will video chat quite a lot with family, so maybe 2mp camera is better?

Also if I have young kids, maybe LED is too fragile? or is not an issue at all?

Is 1505 wireless card good enough to pick up signals? That's rather important.

I prefer red to black too, although color shouldn't be determinant.

Is it easy to reture a Dell laptop for whatever reason? I'm planning a travel scheduled quite soon, wonder should I leave some time to deal with Dell in case there is anything wrong (for the worst scenario). Hope I can bring my new m1330 straight away :D
