Well the title says it all. Sunday nights episode of Fair City which I recorded wont play! When I press play everything just freezes. Back Up wont work. Only by pressing the Sky button can I exit the screen.

What could be wrong? All other programmes are fine. Is it just a one off and perhaps I should forget it?

I had the same problem with a recording too, couldn't get it to play no matter what I done, rebooting, rebuilding the planner etc so just gave up and deleted it.

I also had the same with a recording last week, and ended up just deleting it. :(

Never had it before or since ?

This happens to me very occasionally about once a month- on a HD box. Usually I just delete it but I really wanted to see a program that I recorded last week ( a repeat of this particular program is unlikely). Has anyone found a solution to get it to play?

Same thing on my Sky HD box from time to time. Freaking irritating. Sky's Tech Support don't have an answer either.

I have this problem too every couple of weeks and always happens with programmes I really wanted to watch.

I had heard that the cause was originally if you were recording from a HD channel while watching another HD channel it would muck it up I started recording Sky in SD when watching the footie but the same problem occurs.

I also have problems with my planner. I used to link programmes and when I would plug it in all the planner programmes would come up as failed even though the show might be days away and I have to re-set everything, I started not unplugging the Sky box and same thing keeps happening.

Don't have HD, but this has happened to me in the past also, and had to delete. Don't know if its coincidence or not, but I think its always been RTE programs
